Draft — pending licensed counsel review. Not final legal terms.

Internal HomeLynx legal workstream draft — not legal advice.

Privacy Policy

Draft dated 2026-09-06 PT · Not counsel-approved · Contact hello@homelynx.io

1. Who we are

HomeLynx operates the consumer product at homelynx.io. For privacy questions, contact hello@homelynx.io.

Operator entity TBD. The formal legal entity that operates HomeLynx will be named here after counsel finalizes formation / contracting details. This placeholder is flagged for licensed counsel.

2. What HomeLynx is (and is not)

HomeLynx provides homeowner intelligence and estimates — explainable value ranges, signals, equity context, and educational Explore paths — so you can understand the home you already own.

3. Categories of information we collect

Depending on how you use the product, we may process:

4. Storage on your device (localStorage)

Core product state is stored in your browser under the key hlx.propertyState.v1. This is not a cookie, but it holds property-linked and sometimes sensitive data on your device (including address PII). Clearing site data or overwriting state removes or replaces it. Shared-device and XSS risks apply at a high level to any on-device storage.

5. Vendors for address resolution

The intended address path is: Cloudflare Worker → Google Places / Address Validation to validate and resolve an address. Billing for that path may be gated; when enabled, address queries may transit those vendors under their terms and applicable data-processing arrangements. We disclose the intended path even when temporarily unavailable.

6. Credit pulls

HomeLynx does not pull credit for you to explore the product. A financing partner may pull credit only after you choose a handoff and provide consent on that partner’s process — not as part of ordinary Explore.

7. Sharing with partners / lenders

HomeLynx does not share your data with a partner or lender until you give explicit consent at a handoff interstitial. Financing is optional and only appears when you choose to continue. Partners are named in that handoff context — not as hero branding in this Privacy Policy.

8. Analytics practices

When analytics are used, we aim to:

9. Demo vs live separation

Demo fixtures and live property flows are separated. Demo mode must not be confused with live verification of your address or live vendor results.

10. Future account sync

Cross-device account sync is contemplated but not enabled as of this draft. Before any account sync launches, this Privacy Policy will be updated (retention, access controls, deletion/export).

11. California privacy notice themes (CCPA/CPRA — counsel to finalize)

California residents may have rights regarding personal information. For notice-at-collection themes:

Do Not Sell / Do Not Share (DNS): Compensated partner handoff or advertising may require CCPA/CPRA sale/share analysis. Licensed counsel must classify relationships and finalize any DNS / opt-out link. This draft does not claim that HomeLynx does not sell or share personal information.

12. Retention

Current: PropertyState remains in browser storage until you clear site data or overwrite it. We do not invent a separate server-side retention schedule in this draft. Vendor retention (e.g., Google) follows their terms when the address path is active.

13. Effective date

This draft is dated 2026-09-06 PT. It is not backdated as counsel-approved. The effective date of a final policy will be set when licensed counsel completes review.
